Waters
The Ausable and the Manistee are my home waters, both offer great fishing throughout the season with part of the each being open year around. During salmon and steelhead season I tend to migrate to the western rivers of the state.

Tackle Type
During general trout season it's strictly fly fishing. Salmon season we prefer the fly rod. Steelhead we use the spey rod, center pin. or flyrod.

Watercraft Choice
We offer either new age McKenzie style drift boat fishing or traditional long boat fishing. For full information and pictures of the boats please go to the Equipment Page

Species
The upper Ausable and Manistee offers brown brook and rainbow trout fishing. Salmon and Steelhead when the runs are on.

Season
General trout season runs from the last Saturday in April to the end of September. There are sections of both rivers open year round to catch and release, which is a practice we try to observe through out the year.

Rates
Rates are based on season and species as well as length of trip and weather it's a walk in, boat trip or an instructional day on the water. For a complete listing please see the Rates & Policy Page
